Circle Oil Hill - El Dorado · Construction Management with Gravity Works Architecture
Circle USD 375 hired Simpson Construction as construction manager for its latest projects – additions to and renovations of Oil Hill Elementary and new construction at Circle High School.
The construction management model allows the district the benefit of taking a phased approach to building, so construction and learning can coexist. Oil Hill Elementary School was broken down into three phases. Phase one included the addition of eight classrooms and was complete by Christmas break 2013. This allowed for the start of phase two: tearing out old classrooms and building two new sections, one creating a new entrance and the other that tucks back into the school. The new additions house the administration wing and cafeteria/kitchen respectively. Classroom and hallway renovations were finished over the summer break – completing phase three and thus the project.
